Abstract:

The climate system is very complex and has made the modeling and predicting/projecting face many challenges. Although climate variability may be detected and identified through a time series of observations, it cannot express the interaction of various components of the Earth's climate system. General circulation models (GCMs) are essential for simulating the physical processes governing the atmosphere and the interaction of the components involved in the Earth's climate system. Statistical downscaling extracts empirical relationships between small-scale observational variables (often at the station level) and the direct GCM output by applying three approaches: Perfect Prognosis (PP), Model Output Statistics (MOS), and Weather Generators (WGs). Bias correction, widely used in climate change studies, is the MOS statistical downscaling approach. To clarify the role of using the inappropriate method and software in increasing uncertainty, two scaling methods from the model output statistics (MOS) approach are compared to correct the bias of the minimum and maximum temperatures. In this research, the outputs of R and CMhyd software are compared to check the uncertainty caused by using inappropriate software. The output of the EC-Earth3-CC model for two variables of the minimum and maximum temperatures was examined using CMhyd and R software. Examining the results showed that the CMhyd software has a significant error in both extracting the direct model output and the bias correction method. For example, the PBIAS of direct output of maximum temperature in Abadan was 2.10%, while CMhyd software gives 5.10%. The result of this research shows the need to use the correct methods and software for processing the output of GCMs.

Abstract:

myths were created over the course of history by common people and during the past few centuries were used by sociologists and psychologists to study the primitive and quasi civilized societies. After the scientific and sociological developments of the 18th and 19th centuries in Europe, many poets, playwrights, authors, and other artists started to employ their personal and innovative techniques instead of following their Greco-Roman predecessors. These innovations achieved popularity by the end of 19th century. However, the realism of the literary figures and artists in the second half of the 19th century led to a sense of boredom and exhaustion in their audience which resulted in the emergence of alternative schools such as symbolism and surrealism. With the emergence of social media in the 20th century, we witness a development of public information. Many European authors have been busy rewriting myths. The 20th century witnessed an increasing significance of theoretical foundation of mythology in anthropology, archeology, literature and arts; more notably the reexamination of myth in different theories is emerging again. Researchers have proposed a variety of definitions of myth based on works done on sociological, anthropological, psychological, traditional and various structural approaches and functional backgrounds. Each has offered a definition of myth according to his own personal and ideological understanding and characteristics and finally based on his cultural beliefs. This paper uses Jung’s ideas which form the theoretical foundation for our analysis of Le Visage d’Orphée by Olivier Py. Jung defines myth as a reproduction of universal human archetypes and leads literary critiques in deciphering and applying these archetypes in literature. Olivier Py is one of these writers who as a member of this literary/ mythological movement that was closely tied to dramatic literature of ancient Greece inspired by Greek mythology, created plays with religious themes as Le Visage d’Orphée. Py’s religious tendencies are clearly exposed in his other works as well. The story of Orphée is one of the most mysteriously of Greek myths which influenced the early Christianity. The most important event in Orphee’s life is going down to spirits’ world to bring back his beloved wife, Oridis, who has been killed by a snake, up to earth. In this paper, we first offer our definition of myth, then we move on to archetypes and their application, and then we introduce Orphee the renowned Greek myth. And finally, we will analyze the play Le Visage d’Orphée by Olivier Py. The method in writing this paper is analytical, using resources like books and essays, as well as field research, including interviews with Olivier Py, writer of Le Visage d’Orphée.

Abstract:

Given the complexity of the climate system and the non-linear relationships between the ocean and atmosphere within this system, it is imperative to comprehend and consider the uncertainties that stem from different sources. Understanding and accounting for uncertainties play a crucial role in predicting climatic variables and facilitating a comprehensive evaluation of greenhouse gas mitigation and adaptation policies. The objective of this study is to quantify the uncertainties in historical and future average monthly precipitation by employing various General Circulation Models (GCMs), bias correction methods, Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs) scenarios, and seven projection periods. To achieve this, the outputs of ten GCMs were adjusted using nine quantile mapping bias correction methods for the Rafsanjan study area, and a suitable method was chosen to analyze the uncertainties of SSPs and projection periods. Two statistical criteria, namely the standard deviation and interquartile range, were utilized to measure the uncertainties. The results revealed that the standard deviation and interquartile range of average monthly precipitation were lower during the historical period compared to the projection period. This difference was determined based on the selection of bias correction methods and GCMs. Furthermore, for both the historical and future periods, the STDEVs and IQRs of average monthly precipitation were lower depending on the type of bias correction methods rather than the type of GCMs. In general, the uncertainties associated with projection periods and the type of GCMs are higher during future periods compared to other sources of uncertainties such as bias correction methods and SSP scenarios. This highlights the necessity for a more accurate analysis. This study contributes to an enhanced understanding of the inherent uncertainties in climate change projections that arise from various sources.

Abstract:

In this study, Fe3O4 nanoparticles and magnetic nanocomposite of NaP zeolite@Fe3O4 with different ratio were prepared, then in the second step functionalized with 2-aminopyridine as a basic group. All samples were characterized by Fourier transfer infrared (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscope (SEM), Energy dispersive X-Ray analysis (EDX), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Burner Emmet Taller (BET), Vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and thermal analysis. The SEM graphs showed that much of Fe3O4 was successfully coated by the NaP zeolite layer. Also, the results show that the magnetism of the products is stable with added zeolite. The BET and TEM confirmed the presence of mesoporous phase in the surface of NaP zeolite@Fe3O4 and preparation a micro-meso structure.

Abstract:

A cooperativity is observed between CH/p and hydrogen bond interactions in HF···Py^X1benX2 complexes. The cooperativity is more influenced by the inductive effects in comparison with the resonance effects. Increase in the electron withdrawing nature of substituents is accompanied by decrease in the cooperativity energy (Ecoop). The vital effect of the reactivity centre on the Ecoop is determined through the good relationship between spara+ (the substituted constant estimated for the para placed reactivity center) and Ecoop values.
